On friendly terms with ecology. Arts contest “The Battery Matters”
Since quite a long time TT-Thermo King has been putting a great emphasis on numerous aspects of pro-ecological activities. The educational campaigns we’re involved in, aim at building the ecological consciousness among children and youth. It has become now a tradition with us to co-organise an eco-arts contest, this time dubbed “The Battery Matters” in Lesznowola Elementary School.
The topics of this year’s contest are:
- How to deal properly with the used cells and batteries
- The influence of the used cells and batteries on people and the environment
Through playing and having fun together we try to show the kids how to deal properly with the environment hazardous and harmful materials.
This year’s edition of the contest enjoyed a great deal of interest. Choosing the best works we tried to follow the criteria below:
- author’s own vision of the topic
- hand made work
- genuine idea
- overall aesthetic impression
The jury awarded thirteen works. The remaining participants were given sweet souvenirs. We were impressed with the great creativity, invention and diversity of the techniques and ideas from all the contestants. We look forward to continue this action in the years to come.
